To transform your life and to manifest your desires, you must ensure that you have a positive mindset. Begin by being aware of your thoughts. Your thoughts form your beliefs. Your beliefs form your reality. What you think is what you believe. What you believe is what becomes your reality.
In order to make positive changes in your life, or to attract positive people and experiences, you must start with positive thinking. If you are not practicing positive thinking, your mindset must change. This is not an easy task, but by consciously thinking positive thoughts over and over again, it will come naturally.
Start by recognizing when you have a negative thought. At that moment, acknowledge you have that thought and then dismiss it. Next, replace that negative thought with a positive one. Finally, affirm that positive thought and say it out loud to yourself.
Let’s see how this works by using a simple example. You are asked to write an article. You first thought is “I can’t write a good article.”
Hey, stop right there! Guess what? You are having a negative thought! Try this thought process:
- Recognize and acknowledge you are having this negative thought. “I notice I am having a negative thought.”
- Dismiss this negative thought. “I will stop having this negative thought.”
- Replace the negative thought with a positive one. “ I will write a sensational article that readers will enjoy.”
- Affirm your positive thought by saying it out loud.
This process may seem so basic, but it works. This example illustrates how a complete mind shift occurs
If you have negative thoughts, a complete mind shift is essential to create the life you want for yourself.
The mind is extremely powerful as we create our reality beginning with our thoughts. Our thoughts become our beliefs, which in turn, become our reality.
In the example above, if you had continued with a negative thought process (by having more and more negative thoughts and worrying about the article), you likely would not have even attempted writing the article, let alone writing a good one. However, if you had shifted your negative thoughts to positive ones and believed wholeheartedly that you could write a good article, then you would have written a fabulous article. I am sure of it!
This principle of having a positive mindset can be applied to all facets of your life. Whether you wish a change in your health, your personal relationships, your financial situation, or your career, it all begins with a change in your thoughts. Create the changes in your life by being conscious of your thoughts and beliefs. These beliefs will create your reality. A final thought: always ask God for His help in renewing your mind and guiding you in all your endeavors.
