Archives For passion

My visit to Cathedral Provincial Park was much more meaningful than I could have ever dreamt it would be. The astonishing beauty of the park was captivating, and it was a personal victory to hike the challenging trails to peaks along the rim.

What are your passions? It’s so important to spend time doing what you are passionate about. When you are in the present moment, immersed in something you love, you can’t help but experience pure bliss! You find yourself smiling and overcome with joy!

One of my passions is being on water or having the presence of water near me. I must have been born a water baby! Water inspires me. I love everything water related: walking along beaches by oceans and bays, swimming in lakes, or sitting and writing by a creek or river. The first summer I arrived in Vancouver, I learned to sail, windsurf, and dragonboat. I absolutely loved sailing and dragonboating, and eventually raced competitively for many years. I later developed a passion for racing outriggers and kayaking too.

What do you want to attract into your life? Good health? Financial Abundance? Loving Relationships? The great news is that you can!

You hold the power within you to attract whatever you want in your life. It all begins with your thoughts. By thinking positively and surrendering your intentions to God and the Universe, you can manifest whatever your heart desires.

Turkey is one of my favorite countries that I have traveled to. I enjoyed Turkey so much that my “two week” visit there stretched to almost two months! Turkey is so diverse! I saw so many unbelievable sights and had such spectacular experiences that I could write a book about Turkey itself (but I won’t for now!). When you think about Turkey, you may think of the incredible mosques in Istanbul, the historical ruins of Ephesus, the beautiful beaches of Bodrum, or the magical fairy chimneys in Cappadocia (all of which I will write about in another blog post). However, one of my most memorable experiences was attending a circumcision ceremony.

Spring is in the air! What a wonderful time of the year this is! Signs of life are everywhere: the blossoming buds on the trees, the return of the daffodils and the tulips, the sun shining brilliantly beneath a baby blue backdrop sky. So much beauty. So much to be grateful for.

Inspirational Travels

April 10, 2013

Traveling is one of my great passions. I discovered this passion when I had the privilege of traveling with the international musical and educational program, Up With People. In one year, we travelled through 35 states in the United States (including the beautiful islands of Hawaii), throughout China, and performed in the Superbowl Halftime Show in New Orleans. I will write more about my travels with Up With People in future blog posts as it certainly stands out as a very important time of my life. Since that marvelous year, my thirst for traveling only magnified. I am so grateful to have visited 48 countries so far. In fact, one of my goals is to see as much of this beautiful world as I can. These photos represent some of the amazing places I have been to.
