How to Attract Whatever You Want

June 2, 2013

What do you want to attract into your life? Good health? Financial Abundance? Loving Relationships? The great news is that you can!

You hold the power within you to attract whatever you want in your life. It all begins with your thoughts. By thinking positively and surrendering your intentions to God and the Universe, you can manifest whatever your heart desires.

I was enlightened when I learned this simple, but powerful concept. Some people are naturally positive and attract what they want without even knowing it. Imagine what these people would be able to manifest in their lives if they were consciously aware of what they were doing!

Having positive thoughts is a great start, but there are a few other steps to manifest your desires. In addition to having positive thoughts, you need to truly believe in them. Feel profoundly to the core of your being, as if you have already received what you desire. Visualize what it’s like to have received what you have wished for, and act as if you’ve received it already. Finally, be grateful for all that you already have and for what you are about to receive.

I will provide an example from my own life to clarify how manifestation works:

  1. Before I had my kidney transplant, I had the clear intention that it would be successful, and that my body would fully recover from the surgery. In other words, I began with a desire to have a successful kidney transplant.
  2. Next, I had a positive thought that my kidney transplant and recovery would be successful.
  3. Then, I believed that the kidney transplant would be successful.
  4. I let my body feel like I had the kidney transplant and visualized a new healthy kidney inside me. I did this over and over all day, every day, until I had my surgery and during the period of my recovery.
  5. Finally, I was grateful for all I had and grateful for the new kidney I would receive.

I am so pleased to say that I had a very successful transplant just five months ago and have recovered remarkably. The surgery and recovery couldn’t have gone more smoothly.

Did I manifest this successful kidney transplant? Did I attract the skilled surgeon, the medical staff, and all the other amazing people and events to my life, before, during, and after my surgery to work in complete synergy to bring about this miraculous result? I believe I did.

You too, can attract and manifest anything you want in your life. Just remember to start by clarifying your desire. Next, have positive thoughts of your desire coming true and strongly believe that your desire will come true. Feel, visualize, and behave as if your desire has already come true. Finally, in order for you to attract what you want in your life, be grateful for what you have. Trust in God and the Universe to orchestrate the details so that the desires of your heart are fulfilled. May you all manifest abundant blessings!

  1. Mimi Luk,
I’ve been doing this since I was fourteen years old, which is as early as I can remember deliberately expressing a desire for an object or an event. Much later I discovered literature discussing manifestation theory, and I began to understand it as a practical method of manipulating personal reality.
Later, in Indiana, after seeing Orson Bean discussing the act of Suspending a Belief on late night TV, I expressed a strong internal desire to meet him and discuss the event he manifested.
Your discussion in this article is the first I’ve read that offers the idea to a public audience aside from my depictions of it in two of my ebooks, Alex in Wonderland and Robert’s Choice. I present it as occult knowledge and as a branch of metaphysics to a narrow demographic of paranormal readers.
My experience is that some people will listen and roll their eyes in disbelief when I talk about it. Years later, in Los Angeles, I brought another person into manifesting an event after which that person still refused to believe it as a deliberate act. Oddly enough, it involved a serendipitous meeting with Orson Bean during which he and I discussed an event of mine that was identical to his.
My question for you here is, have you noticed that some objects and/or events can take place in hours and some may take years, and do you have an explanation for that?
I read your article here with great interest and as much surprise that another person knows about the Art of Choice, and I thank you for letting me know that I’m not alone in having this knowledge.

    • Thank you so much for your comments and for sharing your experiences with me. I’m so happy to hear that you’re been manifesting since the age of fourteen. I sure wished I had learned to do this at a younger age!

To answer your question, I have noticed that manifestations can sometimes happen quickly and at other times, not so quickly. Indeed, it can take many years. My explanation for this is simply that above all else, there is a Higher Power (whether you believe that is God, or the Universe, or an energetic force) that has ultimate control over the timing. In other words, my will is not greater than God’s Will. I express my desire but am not attached to WHEN it happens nor HOW it happens. I just know it’ll happen. For example, I wanted to be healed of my kidney disease. It could have taken the form of an immediate miraculous healing or in the form of a kidney transplant (which in my case, meant waiting for a few months). I was not attached to HOW or WHEN I would heal, but just that I would be healed. Hope my explanation helps. Wishing you the best.
