Don’t Go To Bed Angry!

Anger can be an ugly beast. Yes, sometimes, there is room for righteous anger. The kind of anger we feel when we think justice has not been served, or when we’re angry that something cruel and heartless has happened. Perhaps, we feel we have a right to be angry when senseless acts take place, and lives are lost or hurt.

Sometimes, we get so busy with our lives that we forget to just stop, be still, and focus inward. It seems, especially in the summer months, there are just too many things to do, too many people to see, that we can needlessly tire ourselves out.

Procrastinating may seem the easy way out in the short term, but really, it just prolongs the inevitable. We procrastinate about issues we don’t want to face or tasks we don’t want to perform. The problem is the longer you wait, the harder it is for you to confront the issues or complete the tasks. Instead of thinking about the situation just once, and resolving it, it festers in your mind. How much time and energy do you waste thinking and dreading the task or issue at hand, instead of just dealing with it immediately and moving on?
